Trust is a fragile thing, and in the silent, tense corridors of this game, it’s about to shatter completely. Welcome to Who Is The Imposter, a high-stakes game of social deduction where your survival depends on your ability to deceive or your talent for seeing through the lies. Among your crew, a hidden traitor lurks, tasked with sabotaging your mission and eliminating everyone, one by one. As a loyal crewmate, you must race against time to complete your tasks while keeping a watchful eye on your supposed allies. Every flicker of movement, every shared glance, could be a clue. When a body is discovered, the accusations fly. Can you rally the crew to eject the real imposter, or will you be swayed by a master manipulator and cast out an innocent soul into the void? The paranoia is real, the tension is electric, and only the sharpest minds will prevail.
The stakes have just been raised. Our latest content drop, the Ghost Protocol update, introduces a chilling new layer of strategy and deception to the game. We've added a set of high-risk “Ghost Tasks” that, when completed, grant the crew a temporary view of the last known location of every player. But be warned: these tasks are complex and leave you vulnerable. For the Imposters, a new sabotage ability has been unlocked: the Comms Scramble. This deadly move temporarily disables the ability to report bodies, allowing for more audacious and risky plays. Will you use these new tools to unmask the traitor or to become the perfect phantom killer?
Getting into the game is simple, but mastery is a challenge. Here are the basic controls you'll need to navigate the ship and complete your mission (or your sabotage).
This game has two distinct goals depending on your role. If you are a Crewmate, your team wins by either completing all assigned tasks on the map or by successfully identifying and voting out all of the Imposters. If you are an Imposter, your goal is to eliminate Crewmates until your numbers are equal to theirs, or to win by executing a critical sabotage that the Crewmates fail to resolve in time.
Of course. The art of the Imposter is subtle. First, fake your tasks. Stand still at a task station for a plausible amount of time to build your alibi. Second, use the vents to move quickly and create confusion about your location, but don't get caught entering or exiting one. Finally, learn to sow discord during meetings. Gently nudge suspicion onto someone else, create a “buddy” system with an unsuspecting player, and always have a believable story for where you were. Honing these skills is key to success in many top-tier 2-player games where outsmarting a human opponent is the ultimate goal.
Vigilance is your greatest weapon. Watch other players. Did someone leave a room right before a body was found there? Are they just wandering aimlessly instead of doing tasks? Watch the taskbar; if it doesn't go up when someone is “working,” they might be faking it. Mastering this level of situational awareness is a skill that translates across genres, whether you're hunting for traitors or commanding units in an intense strategy game like Battle Tanks: City of War.
An emergency meeting is triggered in one of two ways: a player reports a body, or a living player presses the emergency button in the central meeting room. Once a meeting starts, the game pauses and everyone is brought to a discussion screen. Here, you use the chat to share information, make accusations, and defend yourself. After the discussion phase, a voting period begins. You can vote for any player you suspect or choose to skip the vote. The player with the most votes is ejected from the game.
We get it! Sometimes the constant paranoia can be draining and you just want to put the pedal to the metal. When you need a palate cleanser from the intense social deduction, we highly recommend diving into a pure adrenaline rush. For that, you can't go wrong with the high-octane thrills of a game like Super Race 2022, where the only thing you have to worry about is the finish line.
